Validation of the Korean Version of the Patient-Reported Outcomes Information System® Emotional Distress Measures

Purpose This methodological study aimed to translate the Korean version of Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System® item bank-emotional distress (i.e., depression, anxiety, and anger) for adults evaluate its psychometric properties. Methods Translation involved forward translation, back expert review, harmonization quality assurance, cognitive testing. Psychometric properties were evaluated with a community sample 201 adults. To assess unidimensionality measures, we used factor analysis examine construct validity. Results All items System measures translated through rigorous translation process, semantic, conceptual, normative equivalences between original ensured. Exploratory revealed that all loaded on one dominant factor. The demonstrated acceptable unidimensionality. Conclusion is reliable valid.
